Dosage and Administration

Viagra Professional is taken orally as needed approximately 15-20 minutes before sexual activity. Sildenafil should not be taken more than once a day. A heavy meal can delay the onset time of this medication. Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while being treated with this medication.

Precautions

Before taking Viagra Professional, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to Sildenafil; or if you have other allergies. Older people may be more sensitive to the possible side effects of the medication.

Contraindications

Viagra Professional is contraindicated in patients taking another medication to treat impotence or using a nitrate medication. This medication should not be used by women or children, or by patients who have shown a hypersensitivity reaction to Sildenafil.

Possible Side Effects

Possible side effects include excessive fatigue, nausea or vomiting, yellowing of the eyes or skin, decreased appetite, diarrhea, hot flashes, etc. Many people using this medication do not experience serious side effects. Your doctor has prescribed this medication because the benefit to you outweighs the risk of side effects. Drug Interactions

This medication should not be used with nitrates and recreational drugs called "poppers" containing amyl or butyl nitrite; alpha-blocker medications; other impotence medications; high blood pressure medications, etc. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.

Missed Dose

Viagra Professional is used as needed, so you will probably not be on a dosing schedule.

Overdose

Seek emergency medical attention if you believe you have used too much of this medicine. Symptoms of overdose may include: nervousness, extreme excessive sweating, rapid/irregular heartbeat, chest pain, seizures.

Storage

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius (59 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit). Keep the container tightly closed out of reach of children. Do not store your medications in the bathroom.
